What should I do if my drink has been “spiked” 

If you think your drink has been spiked then hand it over to someone responsible like the bar manager or security. 

What should you do to ensure your drink does not get spiked,  

• Watch your drink at all times
• When drinking from a bottle watch it being uncapped.
• Do not let anyone torch the top of your drink
• Do not consume a drink that has been left unattended
• Always report any suspected “spiked” drinks
• Avoid drinks coming from punch bowels
• Try to buy your own drinks
• Try to keep your glass/bottle close to your body at all times and preferably in your hand.

 What are GHB and Ketamine 

GHB

 Gamma Hydroxbutyrate (GHB) is a powerful, rapidly acting central nervous system depressant. GHB is available as a clear slightly salty tasting liquid or white powder that can cause sedative effect 10 to 20 minutes after it is taken, depending on the volume that has been ingested. GHB can act as a relaxant, escalating through speech and balance impairment to comma-like sleep, particularly if ingested with alcohol, which enhances its effects.  

Ketamine

Ketamine is an anesthetic, which is also used by vets. It is only available legally as an injectable liquid, but it comes as tablet or powder when it is produced illegally. It is illegal to supply.
